Alice Barford

Alice is a Chartered Physiotherapist who is highly experienced and skilled in the field of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions.

Practising as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist for the last 8 years, she has worked with many patient groups, from acute and chronic back and neck injuries; performance and competitive level athletes for sports injuries; pregnant patients for ante- and post-natal rehab and pregnancy related conditions; work and posture related aches and pains; chronic conditions such as hypermobility and arthritis; and pre and post-operative rehab.

She works with various treatment modalities specifically tailored to the condition and needs of her patients. These include; soft tissue techniques and massage, joint mobilisation and manipulation, exercise based rehab (including Pilates), acupuncture/dry needling, and taping.

Alice came to physiotherapy a number of years before qualifying as a physiotherapist herself, after sustaining a knee injury from skiing whilst also suffering with hypermobility. Through having a period of intensive physiotherapy she learned the importance of body awareness, biomechanics and movement, and became more interested in the inner workings of the body and our anatomy.

Alice graduated from the University of Liverpool back in 2012 with a degree in Physiotherapy. She is a registered member of the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP). She is also a qualified AACP acupuncture practitioner and Level 2 Clinical Matwork Pilates instructor.
