Indian Head Massage is a fully clothed seated treatment based on old Ayurvedic techniques, involving work on the upper back, shoulders, neck, scalp and face. It helps reduce stress, fatigue, eyestrain, increase mental clarity, relaxes and rejuvenates the receiver. It works on the areas of the body that are most affected by stress, however while the treatment is just on the upper part of the body, it’s effects are felt throughout the whole body and mind.
Head massages originated as part of the ancient Indian practice of medicine, called Ayurveda, based on balancing the body, mind and spirit to promote a long life. Ancient Indians believed that massage of all types, used with herbs, spices and oils, promoted strong muscles and skin, good health and encouraged the body’s natural healing powers.
– This is a practical workshop! You will be learning the techniques for a full Indian Head Massage routine.
We will also cover:
– History of Indian head massage.
– Benefits of Indian head massage.
– Safety guidelines of Indian head massage.
The massage routine is made up of Indian-style massage, Swedish massage and some reflexology type movements. Yoga style exercises are introduced at the end of the course, this helps to encourage development ready for crawling, and this also helps to strengthen their backs and aids coordination.
The course will cover:
Behavioural states and when to massage, ideal conditions, positions, relaxation, asking permission and saying thank you.
The classes are appropriate for babies who are 4 weeks to pre crawling. Open to all parents and babies.
Please note we are running a new parents and baby club after the baby massage: Babbles Lounge

This 2.5hr workshop aims to give pregnant women and their birth partners the confidence to use the invaluable tools of massage & rebozo technique in preparation for, and during labour.
You will learn simple massage and shiatsu techniques that help to release muscular tension, calm the nervous system, balance your partner’s energy and increase the release of birthing hormones that can improve labour progress.
A rebozo is a long piece of cloth often worn by Mexican women and a traditional midwifery tool for pregnancy, labour and post-partum. Using a rebozo during late pregnancy & labour can encourage babies to move into a better position, it can also provide comfort & relaxation for the labouring woman. These are really useful tools for birth partners. The workshop will also include information on movements and positions for labour and birth and birth physiology.
Please wear comfortable clothing for sitting on a birth ball & kneeling.

A two hours vinyasa flow workshop that will give you the knowledge of how to explore moving through a vinyasa flow practice with specific asanas and breathing techniques that stretch the sides of the body, elongate the spine, open the heart & shoulders, and expand your lung capacity for a greater volume of oxygen to flow around the body.
We will explore deeper breaths using the main respiratory muscle the diaphragm and stretching the intercostal muscles that allow more flexibility and strength in the rib cage.
Introducing bandhas “yogi’s interior locks’ the three main bandhas: Uddiyana, Mula & Jalandhara, learning where they are found in the body, how we can naturally strengthen them, and their function is our practice.
Amongst the benefits of this workshop you will learn about:
- how the energy flows in the body
- techniques on calming the mind & controlling the nervous system, moving towards a real flow state of mind.
- how to use diaphragmatic and intercostal muscles to gain more expansion of breath in the lungs
- how to increase blood circulation and oxygen to the brain
- ultimately you will be learning to use bandhas to amplify strength and energy during your yoga practice.
Once a month, join our sound practitioners, for a powerful double gong Sound Immersion. Close your eyes and open your ears, as we dive into a journey of sound and the senses!
The session will open with some gentle movement and connection to breath to ground & prepare. A Sound Immersion is created using gongs and a variety of instruments, with a trajectory of sounds that are designed to induce states of profound physical relaxation, meditation and general wellbeing. Laying down on mats participants will be saturated and cocooned in the live sounds of high quality Gongs, singing bowls, crystals bowls, a shruti box and rainsticks.
The aim is to facilitate an altered state of consciousness (ASC). Research has shown that staying in ASC for prolonged amount of time may encourage more unified thinking, as well as improved self awareness, openness and creativity. Energetic shifts also create physical changes in the body, for example lowering blood pressure and the stress hormone cortisol. Sound immersion is a unique and transformative experience, not to be missed!
*We recommend that if you are new to Sound Immersions, you first try our gong meditation sessions on Tuesdays and Fridays at 8pm before diving in. If you are not sure of would like any further information, don’t hesitate to contact us -firstname.lastname@example.org.
This afternoon is uniquely crafted to support you wherever you’re at on your post natal journey, with a babe in arms or teenager in tow. The afternoon is for YOU.
A sharing circle with psychotherapist Caitlin and Katrina will open this transformative experience. We’ll cultivate energy with yoga guided by Yolande and we’ll conclude with a deeply restorative hypno-gong session combining the power of self hypnosis and sound bath with a taster of the deeply relaxing South American Cerrada / closing ceremony that uses rebozo shawls to close the body, physically and emotionally after birth.
With grounding snacks and a closing circle to finish, you will leave (with a goodie bag to take home including homeopathy, aromatherapy and herbal goodies) feeling nourished, supported and inspired.
Naturally babies are welcome for a feed if they need during the afternoon but our instinct is that mums need time for themselves so we encourage you to arrange childcare for the afternoon and know they’ll come in to you if they need anything.
This exclusive soulful offering is a chance to honour your journey thus far and move forward in a positive, nourished and inspired way.
