LARA OZTURK

SPORTS MASSAGE, SOFT TISSUE THERAPY, MYOFASCIAL RELEASE

Lara has long held a deep interest in massage and, once she began her course at Bodyology School of Massage, she knew it was the right fit for her.

She first qualified in 2015 with an NVQ Level 4 qualification in Holistic Massage, Anatomy, Pathology and Physiology; accredited by the Massage Training Institute (MTI) and continued to develop her practice with Diplomas in Hot and Cold Stone Therapy and Warm Bamboo Therapy accredited through the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT). She has expanded her studies by completing a Level 5 Soft Tissue Therapy at the London School of Sports Massage (LSSM) in 2018 accredited by the Institute of Sport and Remedial Massage (ISRM).

Lara developed herself further when she travelled to San Francisco to study human dissection with Dr Gil Hedley, something that transformed her practice and understanding of the human body. This then led her to complete an advanced Myofascial release training in June of 2022.

Lara is also a Yoga teacher, and in training to become a mindfulness meditation teacher certified by both the Awareness Training Institute and the Greater Good Science Center at the University of California at Berkeley. Lara has volunteered at numerous charities across London offering massage and advice, most notably setting up a Massage and Wellbeing day with Depression Alliance. She also assisted teaching with David Katz at the LSSM school in London.

Lara takes a pragmatic approach to each client’s treatment and aims to make them feel understood and treated as an individual rather than a symptom. Lara is passionate about providing all her clients the utmost quality of care; offering a calming, nurturing space to heal and recover and giving each client detailed aftercare to ensure the treatment is effective. She is a full member of the Massage Training Institute (MTI), Institute of Sport and Remedial Massage (ISRM).
