Fertility Acupuncture (one off treatment)
Acupuncture is a holistic approach to health based on over 2,000 years of development and refinement in the Far East. The tradition is as much about the maintenance of health as the management of disease. Although sometimes described merely as a means of pain relief, traditional acupuncture is actually used to treat people with a wide range of illnesses. Its focus is on improving the overall wellbeing of the patient, rather than the isolated treatment of specific symptoms. The skill of an acupuncturist lies in their ability to make a traditional diagnosis from what is often a complex pattern of disharmony. The exact pattern and degree of disharmony is unique to each individual and so following diagnosis, the acupuncturist puts together a personalised treatment plan.
According to traditional Chinese philosophy, our health is dependent on the body’s motivating energy – known as qi – moving in a smooth and balanced way through a series of meridians (channels) beneath the skin. The flow of qi can be disturbed, depleted or blocked by many factors, physical, mental and emotional, leading to pain and illness. By inserting fine needles into carefully selected points along the channels of energy, an acupuncturist can stimulate the body’s own healing response and help to restore its natural balance.
Acupuncture is a widely used form of health care in many countries across the world. Acupuncture is listed by the World Health Organisation as helpful for many conditions.

Herbal medicine is the use of medicinal plants to treat disease, and to restore and maintain health.
With the combination of thousands of years of documented use and modern research, we are able to understand how and why plants are effective and use them with knowledge and skill.
Herbal medicine is appropriate for most conditions for which you would consult your GP. These include digestive and circulatory issues, skin complaints, sleep, stress and emotional issues, hormonal imbalances, musculoskeletal aches and pains, respiratory conditions and many more.
Herbal remedies include organic tinctures, teas, powders, syrups, cream and ointments, pessaries, suppositories, inhalations and herbal bath preparations.
Homeopathy is the second most used form of medicine in the world and can help a wide variety of problems, both physical and emotional.
It is holistic and the remedies it uses are non-toxic, specially prepared, highly diluted substances (given mainly in tablet form) with the aim of triggering the body’s own healing mechanisms. A homeopath will prescribe medicines according to the patient’s specific set of symptoms, and how they experience them, taking into account their overall level of health.
Homeopathy is beneficial for people of any age with symptoms of, but not limited to, hormonal imbalance, long standing problems such as migraine, IBS-type symptoms, recurrent respiratory infections, UTIs, auto-immune diseases or a weakened immune system, but also emotional problems such as anxiety, panic attacks, sleep problems, low energy levels, high levels of stress. Transitions and periods of life changes – from bereavement, change of career to puberty, pregnancy or menopause – are points when many people seek Homeopathy as a form of medicine that can help rebalancing their system.
Massage styles
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage, as the name suggests, focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. Using a variety of techniques, the purpose of deep tissue massage is to unstick adhesive or stuck tissue, releasing deeply held tension. The therapist will work on specific areas of tension to restore mobility and length, improving muscle function and aiding in the removal of waste products & toxins by improving blood and therefore oxygen circulation to the deep tissue. It is both corrective and therapeutic. It is beneficial for many physical problems, including sports injuries and chronic pain. Because it works very deeply, emotional issues can also be addressed, when these have been stored in the body.
Pregnancy Massage
(Clients must be at least 12 weeks pregnant)
Pregnancy massage is a form of Holistic Massage tailored to the needs of your pregnancy.Holistic Massage means treating the ‘whole’ of the individual – Mind, Body & Spirit, which includes the new little mind, body & spirit of your baby. Rather than performing the same set sequence of massage techniques on every single client, holistic massage means assessing the clients needs and then tailoring the massage for your personal fulfilment.
Pregnancy Massage is done in side lying position on a massage table and sometimes on your back with the table slightly raised. For part of the massage you may also be seated comfortably on a stool and leaning over the massage table with lots of pillows , to enable work on your back. You will have plenty of cushions and pillows to support you where ever you need them.
Aromatherapy Massage
Holistic aromatherapy is the use of essential oils to promote and maintain health and wellbeing within the body, mind and spirit.
Essential oils are highly concentrated, volatile plant extracts comprising of hundreds of natural organic constituents. These oils carry various beneficial properties and natural scents of the plants they are derived from. Massage is a popular way to benefit from an essential oil blend.
Following on from a consultation the appropriate essential oils will be chosen to use for the treatment. During the consultation the client will be encouraged to say what it is that they want from the treatment and which body areas they would like the practitioner to focus – the treatment is then tailored specifically to meet the client’s needs.
The benefits of aromatherapy massage are wide ranging including simple relaxation, relief from muscular aches and pains, releasing tension, improving sleep, increasing wellbeing and improving mood.

Swedish Massage
Swedish Massage was developed by a Swedish physiologist, Henri Peter Ling in 1812. It uses a firm but gentle pressure to improve the circulation, ease muscle aches and tension, improve flexibility and create relaxation. Swedish massage is the foundation for other types of Western massage, including sports, deep tissue and aromatherapy.
Sport & Remedial Massage
Sport massage was originally developed to help athletes prepare their body for optimal performance, recover after a big event, or function well during training. Sports massage emphasizes prevention and healing of injuries to the muscles and tendons. But you don’t have to be an athlete to benefit from sports massage. Sports massage is also good for people with injuries, chronic pain or restricted range of motion. Your therapist will generally concentrate on a specific problem area. You will also be given advice on exercises that can help the problem after the treatment if appropriate.
Remedial massage is one of the most effective and readily available ways to prevent and treat muscle injuries, pain and soreness. Based on the fact that soft tissue (muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia) respond to touch and that most pain is myofascial (soft tissue) in origin. Trigger points (sensitive points in muscles, which radiate or refer pain to various parts of the body) can mimic many conditions.
Indian Head Massage
Indian Head Massage is a fully clothed seated treatment based on old Ayurvedic techniques, involving work on the upper back, shoulders, neck, scalp and face. It helps reduce stress, fatigue, eyestrain, increase mental clarity, relaxes and rejuvenates the receiver. It works on the areas of the body that are most affected by stress, however while the treatment is just on the upper part of the body, it’s effects are felt throughout the whole body and mind.
The principles of Shamanism date back to humanity itself. Healing is an innate part of ourselves. It’s like each of us is born with a special and pure power, a piece that will help make a better whole. And as we face life with all its trauma and fear, we get pushed away from that power, often separated from our own talents and gifts.
Shamanic Healing is an integrative way of looking at the individual and the planet. A way to strengthen a natural connection with ourselves and the world around us. A way to reclaim wholeness by equipping ourselves with our most intimate tools. We will do that through Shamanic journeying – a practice used to access information from the sacred self through imagery and memory. Those symbols function as a coded language that allows us to access content stored in the subconscious. That can support healing, bring insights and help transform pathology.
A typical session consists of cleansing the energy field, identifying an issue to address, shamanic journeying, symbol interpretation, guidance and review of the experience.
Ayurveda is a science of life developed to support harmony and vitality in the body. When approaching healing and disease prevention, it honours the uniqueness of each individual person in relation to the five elements; Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether. Ayurvedic Consultancy is a natural approach to wellness that has the potential to counterbalance many modern illnesses that we are seeing worldwide today
