Sound therapy has been used as a tool for healing for thousands of years. It aids stress reduction by breaking up emotional blockages within the body and eases you into a state of meditation.
The techniques used are tailored to help relax and yet stimulate the system, allowing for the stress hormones and Cortisol to reduce, lowering blood pressure and heart rate. This help to slip into an Altered State of Consciousness (ASC) similar to that before sleep or deep meditation. Brain waves lower their rate into Alpha and Theta where self healing, cellular repair / re-elaboration mode occurs.
Simone is a fully qualified therapist. He studied at the British Academy of Sound Therapy BAST he uses Gongs, Himalayan bowls (sonic massage) tuning forks, voice, sometimes a mix of all, according to the therapeutic needs.
The methodology and the approach combines carefully considered therapeutic sound techniques which have been shown to affect physiology, neurology and psychology with a form of reflective enquiry based on few principles non directivity, client lead approach, client centeredness, client empowerment.
First session is 90min, beginning with an initial consultation consisting of:
– Localizing initial construct in the body,
– Scan of the Chakras to highlight areas of under or over activity in the system
– Sound application (Gongs, Crystal, Himalayan bowls, Sonic massage, Tuning forks or a combination)
– Review of the experience and a self-reflection.
Instruments use and applications
Simone uses Paiste Symphonic and Planetary gongs(Earth and Sun) and Chinese Chau Gong 32. In a typical 1/1 session gongs are placed in proximity of the feet and head. This because the heterodynes frequencies created when more then one gong is played facilitate an Alter State of Consciousness.
As the sound is so physical gong therapy is great for physical pain, arthritis, stress related imbalances, tinnitus, irritable bowel, insomnia, muscle spasm and anxiety disorders. But also depressions and limiting believes.
Himalayan bowls therapy and sonic massage is a very warm, intimate, relaxing yet profound experience. Most people compare it to deep meditation and lucid dreaming. Bowls are played in proximity of Chakra point according to the initial construct consultation, Chakra scan.
Sonic massage bowls on body is also used to stimulate Nadis points and allowing vibration to penetrate into the deep tissue.
The methodology of Chakra sound tuning fork therapy was developed by Alan Sales of the Institute of Cyberkinetics. This method utilises basic kinesiology to enable the client to choose the frequencies they most need to effect a change in the system. Tuning fork therapy is very powerful in facilitating quantum shifts, transforming limiting beliefs, traumas and fears.
